The Cal Dance Team is composed of seventeen women who are committed to upholding the traditions of Cal Spirit at Cal athletic events, alumni events, and various spirit rallies on campus. During the Fall semester, the Dance Team primarily performs song-leading style cheers at all Cal Football games and pre-game rallies, as well as at all Cal Volleyball games. Members of the team are also provided with the exciting opportunity to travel to other campuses throughout the Pac-10 and other universities to cheer on Cal fans at televised Cal football games.<br> <br> In the Spring, the Cal Dance Team supports the men’s and women’s basketball teams for audiences in Haas Pavilion. The dancers also get the opportunity to highlight their dance styles, talents and techniques by performing a variety of half-time routines at all home basketball games. Members of Cal Dance also travel to post-season Pac-10 and NCAA tournaments. <br> <br> Through rigorous dance training and team bonding that begins in late July and continues throughout the year, the Cal Dance Team is granted the unforgettable opportunity to perform for thousands of Cal fans and be an integral part of Cal Spirit.
